Tear Gas Fired at the President Of Nigerian Senate and other PDP chieftains in Abuja

The members of The Nigerian Police were let loose against some opposition party PDP chieftain today in a protest march to the INEC headquarters at Legacy Drive, Abuja on Friday. Among those affected by the tear gas inflicted on the protesters were the President of the Nigerian Senate Abubakar Olubukola Saraki, the National Chairman of the PDP Prince Uche Secondus, Senator Dino Melaye and a lot of others. The protest was held against the outcome of the recently conducted Osun state election which they believe was rigged badly in order to favour the ruling party.

It seems like the presidency of the federation has an unusual aversion against peaceful protests not just against the masses but it will also clamp down on members of the opposition party who they believe are stepping out of bounds.
